This online course consists of 2 parts with four 20 to 25-minute sessions.
Does even thinking about biochemistry overwhelm you? Here’s a different look at the missing ingredient needed to truly understand genomics. Presented in the context of clinical application, you’ll learn the biochemistry that ties together genomics and functional nutrition.
In this course, you’ll gain an appreciation for the role of biochemistry and how it informs functional nutritional recommendations, how genomic testing is the bridge to understanding a person’s unique biochemistry, and ultimately enables personalization of nutritional interventions. Part 1 introduces monogenic examples, and Part 2 delves into three polygenic examples.
Part 1: CoQ10, Omega 3 and 6 Fatty Acids
Part 2a: Viamin D and Calcium
Part 2b: Estrogen Detoxification
Part 2c: Transmethylation/Transulfuration
